52 Weeks of Color – #5 Patina

I had nothing even remotely close to Patina in my virtual wardrobe. But I seem to have luck on my side when it comes to the color posts. A Sale at the Truth District saved my butt and in quite a fabulous way I might add.

Lovely Weekend

And so finally the weekend is here. Now we can just put a pause on everything boring and have fun. Unless you’re one of those poor people who have to work on the weekend. I feel for you, I really do. Now go get me my drink.

For this weekend only, Aleida has put out these fab looking boots. They’ll be yours for only 60L, a steal if anything. I realized I had the perfect colored dress in my inventory to pair them up with. It’s a cute little thing, but I feel I must warn you. The skirt doesn’t move very well at all, so it’s not something you’ll want to go out dancing in. Works for pictures though.

Going Home

Don’t tell anyone. Veenya wasn’t born a Big City Girl. No, she was brought up somewhere far far away from 24/7 supermarkets and trendy clubs. And every other two weeks she makes the 3 hour trip back. There she enjoys the strange silence and plenty of Mom-food (best in the world, everyone knows that.) At night she peers up at the sky and look in wonder at all the stars. Then, after roughly 16 hours, she starts climbing the walls. It’s a good thing there’s plenty of trains to take her back to the city.

If you haven’t been to the Season Gatcha Winter Festival yet, you need to get your ass in to gear. You got roughly a day left to pick up the goodies. Like this sexy-but-casual shirt from Lark. Or the roomy bag from Tulip. There’s a ton of stuff, most are pretty damn cheap and in a plethora of colors. Off you go!

52 Weeks of Color – #4 Iron

This weeks color for the challenge is Iron. I didn’t really agree with the color swatch Luna provided, so I went rebel and picked what I felt was closer to iron. Also I got this dress free from coldLogic and wanted to shoot it. But that’s neither here nor there. I’m a Rebel. Yeah!

A Different Kind of Cold

It’s cold. Yeah, I know it’s winter, but this is a different kind of cold. You’d think it’d be snowy, below freezing and let’s have a cup of warm cocoa type cold. No, instead it’s rainy, windy and let’s stay under the covers kind of cold.

I’m not a fan of that type of cold, not at all. It’s like that kind of cold gets in to your bones and stays there. You can’t get properly warm for days and it sucks the fun out of almost everything.

I was going to try to take a picture of that kind of cold, but I decided it would be too depressing. So instead I dressed up and went out to make something pretty. It still looks cold, but not that kind of cold.

That warm mesh coat is a new release from SLink. You can pick it up at Collabor 88 at a ridiculous price. To make it even prettier, I pinned a beautiful brooch on it. Its intricate detailing and top-notch texturing makes it one of the prettiest brooches I’ve seen in Second Life. It has texture change for both the metal and the gemstones, so you can match it up with whatever you feel like.

So what do you need to shell out for this piece? Well, it’s nowhere near what you’re thinking, that’s for sure. It’s so cheap, I actually blushed buying it.

Got My Dancing Shoes On

It’s Saturday and that means I’m going out dancing. Me and my killer heels are going out tonight. Maybe I’ll find someone to dance with, maybe I’ll have fun all on my own. Time will tell. I’m sure I’ll drink plenty of colorful drinks and feel it necessary to take the heels off halfway through. I know myself.

This mesh dress from Maitreya is probably one of the sexiest things to hit the grid for months. It’s sexy in a dressed up, classy sort of way, which is exactly my kind of sexy. It’s so gorgeously textured too, every crease is pure perfection. I’d sleep in this dress if I wasn’t afraid I’d wrinkle it. I topped the outfit of with a few colorful accessories. In this case, less is more, since I want the dress to shine.

Back to school

Veenya doesn’t actually go to school, she gets bored way too easily for that. But every now and then she likes to don a uniform and visit any random campus. There’s something to be said about those University boys, after all.

It’s important to look as if you belong, even if you don’t, so always grab a book or two to schlep around. Add some big dark glasses to provide a little something to hide behind. There’s bound to be a few moment where you look completely lost and confused.

52 Weeks of Color – #3 Electric Indigo

This weeks color was a hard one. Electric Indigo. Sorta purple, but not really. Sorta blue, but not quite. I was running around flailing, because I couldn’t find anything that spoke to me. So I turned to plurk. There’s always help to be found on plurk.

Shay told me to go and have a look in her Bloggyversary group. You see, Shays blog is turning 3 years old. Yay for her! To celebrate,  a bunch of creators have made gifts for Shay and her readers.

The group (search for “Shay and the SL Shopping Gang”) is free to join and in the notices you’ll find a bunch of great gifts. Like this flirty mesh dress from the Alice Project.

Let’s Have Lunch

I was thinking about what sort of job Veenya would have if she were a real person. Obviously she’s a big city girl. She likes to travel and she’s a huge fan of fashion. So I’m thinking maybe she’s an editor at some glossy fashion magazine? Or maybe she has some fuzzy title that involves the letters PR.

I do know this. She attends a lot of power lunches.

The luscious suede satchel is a hunt prize from the FTLO Millenium Hunt. It’s a different kind of hunt. You search for a regular object that’s been marked down to 1L. For that linden you get not only the object for sale, but also the hunt prize. So it’s like a double win.

The shoes from SLink is a pair I’ve had in my inventory since this summer and they’ve been worn a lot. I really like the detail with the pad locks on the heels, making it stand out from other shoes. Just by coincidence they happened to be almost the exact same color as the satchel.

Sometimes you’re just lucky like that.

52 Weeks of Color – #2 Coral

When I was editing my pictures for the Asian Influence post I realized I have ginormous boobs. I mean, I purposely made them big, but I didn’t realize it was ‘break-my-back’ big.

So I decided to give myself a minor breast reduction.

(Pause for sounds of a dussin men shaking tiny fists of anger.)

I thought I’d kill two birds with one stone and both show off my new rack and do this weeks color challenge.

This week is Coral.
